To Honor when Honor is Due
The American Patriot Program, or TAPP, was born in 2009 on the 4th of July. The TAPP goal is honor combat wounded American veterans through an innovative integration of America's favorite national pastime and the great sport of American ice hockey into one deeply special American Patriot Award. This award is only given to a veteran of the American Armed Forces that has been wounded in armed conflict defending America. The American Patriot Award was first awarded to a veteran of World War II and Navy Seal in the summer of 2009 and has been awarded to a total 25 of our American wounded warriors. The award has reached a level of prestige and power that only motivates the entire TAPP Staff -who direct the program, and the TAPP Team Members- who customize and craft the award. The American Patriot Award consists of a uniquely customized and laser engraved full sized wooden baseball bat. The name of the award recipient is engraved under the words, "In the Utmost of Gratitude for Your Sacrifice", and over the words, "Honored American Patriot". The Saint Paul Saints American Association league baseball team also customizes the American Patriot Jersey Award. The Saints graciously produced seven of American Patriot Jersey's in 2009. In this important mission TAPP has worked hard to earn the support and trust of numerous major league baseball teams, the Major League Baseball Players Association, and minor league baseball teams including the AAA home of the Cleveland Indians. We have received highly valued endorsements from America Supports You Texas, Silver Star Families of America, and former MLB pitcher and Minnesota Twins HOF inductee Bert Blyleven and his wife Gayle. Seth directs TAPP's National Honor Event and is the majority owner of Phoenix Bat Company.
